Yummy Yin is yin yoga made more yummy!
In the introductory video to this program I share with you how to create a sacred, nourishing space for your practice, the challenges that may arise, and how best to support your body throughout.
Yummy Yin is fairly gentle and suitable for most able bodies. Beginners to yoga are capable of enjoying this practice safely. (Just be sure to listen to your body and not your egoic mind!) I offer suggestions for making the practice comfortable and achievable, no matter your age, fitness level, or previous experience of yoga.
I encourage everyone, advanced yogis and newbies, to come to the mat each time with a beginner's mind, to observe with curiosity and compassion whatever arises, and to honour your body's needs in each moment.
This is the beauty of yin – it’s not about achieving anything; it’s about being with what is, with compassion and curiosity (not so easy for many of us conditioned to do, do, do.)
This program also offers you a guided Yoga Nidra - a very effective practice for stress relief. Simply by lying down and listening to my voice, it brings you into a deeply relaxed state, in between sleeping and waking, during which the body can go into its own healing process.
There are also three shamanic mediations in the program, which you can practice on their own if you desire, or before one of the Yummy Yin yoga practices.
